How fast can your artists draw?

Accepted Answer

Quick Caricatures take about 1 minute per face with an estimated 50 people per hour per artist served.
Standard Caricatures take about 3 minutes per face with an estimated 20 people per hour per artist served.
Fashion Sketches take about 4 minutes per person with an estimated 15 people per hour per artist served. 
Quick Pet Caricatures take about 1.5 minutes per pet with an estimated 40 pets per hour per artist served.
Standard Pet Caricatures take about 4 minutes per pet with an estimated 15 pets per hour per artist served.

We can draw as many people or pets on each page as you would like - or even a mixture - but the time is still per face. For example, one person on a page with Standard Caricatures would take 3 minutes while two would take six minutes, three would take nine minutes, etc.

Time per person and guests served per hour is an estimated average per artist hired and may vary based on several factors, including event schedule, guest participation, detailed accessories, and more. The Spotcolor add-on adds an additional minute to each guest drawn.

Are you insured?

Yes! Caricatures by Marietta, LLC has liability insurance through K&K Insurance Group, inc. We can produce a certificate upon request.  We also require all of our artists to maintain liability insurance, so you never have to worry about a thing!

Question 3

What are your set-up requirements?

In most cases, we just need two chairs, a 6' table, a 9x9 foot cleared space, and an awning or canopy to protect our artists from sun and rain if outdoors.  We find it's best if artists are stationed side-by-side at events to ensure guests know where we are!

Do you have multiple artists available?

Yes! Caricatures by Marietta has a number of artists on roster given availability! We are able to staff multiple artists at one event or even multiple events in one timeframe.

Do you do commissions/charge per-person rather than hourly?

Accepted Answer

No. Caricatures by Marietta is an event service dedicated to bringing you live art entertainment that is free and fun for your guests! Because of that, we do not offer individual one-off drawings (commissions), nor do we have a service where it is free to the client and the cost is passed on to the guest. That being said, we're happy to do house calls! We've attended a number of dinner parties and holiday family gatherings where caricatures were the primary focus.  We're often far more economical than commissioning an artist - and we're fun during the process too!  And remember - our artists are happy to travel!

How many events have you worked/faces have you drawn?

Caricatures by Marietta staffs an average of 500 events every year. Our full-time artists often draw at between 250-350 events every year, or about 16,000-20,000 faces!

There aren't many types of events we haven't worked! We have experience with just about everything, from an array of corporate and sports events to weddings, quinceañeras, end of life celebrations and everything in between.  We're always more than happy to answer any questions and provide examples from a specific event type!
